It’s my favorite time of the year, Halloween! And I am doing one of my biggest contests at Thursday’s lounge yet. Halloween “Spookyoke” karaoke and costume contest. So start work on your costumes now! There are prizes not only for singers but everyone could win prizes. We have $100 for our best costumed singer, and we will be giving away $50 to the best costume and also the most creative costume. We may also be adding more in if I can get more funds. I am also working to secure door prizes that will include free drinks, and hopefully gift certificates to Mr. Zubs Deli (Mario’s New Deli). I am also trying to get ahold of other sponsors for prizes and give aways
Every Wednesday at Thursday’s Lounge we will be holding a 50/50 style karaoke contest. You can enter one or more of your songs for just $2 each (You can still sing for free without entering the contest if you wish). Then at about 1:30am The Bartender (Will), Bouncer (Micah), the DJ (Me), and the Audience will decide who the best singer was and that person will get half the money from that night. The remain will be save for our larger contests so that we no longer have to charge entry fees. Voting will be based on tickets, with Me, Micah, and Will each getting 5 “votes”. The Audience members can by votes for $1 or 6 for $5. The votes will be tallied up at 1:30
So after a very close contest, Thursday’s Lounge beat Matinee in the Battle of the Bars with a score of 301 to 209.5. That’s right, just 1.5 points separated the teams. and here are the individual standings

This Wednesday is the final of the Matinee vs Thursday’s Lounge karaoke Battle of the Bars. It will be held at Thursday’s Lounge at midnight and feature 6 of the area’s best singers from the Matinee and Thursday’s Lounge. On the Matinee team we have Gabe, JC, and Ted facing off against Kevin, Bruce, and Morgan from Thursday’s Lounge. Make sure you come out and cheer on your favorite bar and see who will win the battle.
